i dont want to be fat
i dont want to be fat. it is because it will make me feel lack of confident in something i do and the most important reason is i want to be fit to run the responsibility as a mother. while we went back to Malaysia recently, i saw my mother, grandmother and almost my family members who are women are big in size and i then realize that i will inherit the gene if and only if i neglect the exercise and not keeping the proper diet.
my family tend to have dinner late at night which is after isyak or may be later than that. After dinner they will go straight to bed. Thus as we know food that we eat needs several hours to be digested and the food that not digested properly will assemble into fat. Worse come to worst many malaysian like to have heavy supper at mamak stall while watching the football match on the wide screen provided. This is really not a healthy eating pattern.
While we in Terengganu for about a week, we had this nasi dagang, nasi minyak, nasi kunyit, nasi lemak everyday for our breakfast, which is all these nasi can be found easily everywhere at the reasonable price. The same thing happened in my mother's house in Johor, until at a time i feel like cannot see the nasi lemak anymore..huhuhu
i read in the newspaper recently the government had blamed the nasi lemak that caused the obesity problem among kids nowadays. It sounds funny when you have nobody to accuse that you finally had to blamed on something that cannot even defend itself! But parent do play major role to provide and control their own children's diet.
Fortunately, here we dont have that much choices (fast food and stalls) and taking the example of the Japanese people who practice the good nutrition in their diet and healthy lifestyle, we normally have a simple meals, very rarely use coconut milk in cooking, having dinner earlier around 7 and go to bed at 10. and hopefully this kind of eating pattern and lifestyle remain and can be applied when we going back to malaysia later.
p/s: i'm not that slim, but under 54kg is pretty good for me to achieve my ideal BMI.
